Parmalat: Lactalis to launch bid.

(CercleFinance.com) - Lactalis will launch a bid to buy the remaining shares that it does not already hold in the Italian group Parmalat at 2.
80 euros each.

Lactalis already holds 87.7% of Parmalat's capital, following a hostile takeover bid launched in 2011.

Lactalis' bid would only concern the remaining 12.3% of Parmalat that it does not already hold, which will mean a payment of slightly more than 630 million euros, with the whole of Parmalat worth 5.2 billion euros. If its bid is successful, Lactalis would delist the Parmalat share in Milan.
