Alcoa: board shakeup

(CercleFinance.com) - Alcoa has announced a restructuring of its management team effective from 1 February, to further enhance the company's rigorous focus on operational excellence, costs and innovation.


William Oplinger will become chief operating officer, and will be replaced in his current position as CFO by Molly Beerman, who is currently controller. Beerman will also oversee Alcoa's information technology and automation solutions team.

Renato Bacchi, who is currently chief strategy officer, will assume additional responsibilities for innovation. John Slaven, current chief operating officer, and Benjamin Kahrs, current chief innovation officer, will leave the aluminum group.
