Loews Corp: renews with positive EPS in Q3

(CercleFinance.com) - Loews Corporation shares are up 1% in early trading on Wall Street today, after it published EPS of $1.
12 for Q3 2023, compared to a loss of $0.09 per share in the same period in 2022.

Our insurance company CNA announced strong underwriting results and net profit despite significant catastrophe losses in the sector, the conglomerate's management said.

Apart from CNA, Loews also saw a clear improvement in the net profit of its energy infrastructure subsidiary Boardwalk, which more than offset a decline in that of its hotel subsidiary, Loews Hotels.
