United Airlines: 2023 adjusted EPS target achieved
(CercleFinance.com) - United Airlines has announced net income of $2,618m for 2023, compared with $737m the previous financial year.
The company is helped by a 19.5% increase in business, with sales reaching $53.7bn.
As a result, 2023 EPS rose to $7.89, over triple the $2.23 in 2022, while adjusted EPS soared to $10.05 from just $2.52 the year before, in line with expectations announced at the beginning of the year (adjusted EPS target set at $10 to $12).
Despite unpredictable headwinds, management said it achieved its ambitious EPS target that few thought possible - and set new operational records for our customers. Looking ahead, it expects these trends to continue, and United is incredibly well positioned to capitalize on them and achieve its short- and long-term financial goals.
Q4 sales came in at $13.6bn, up 9.9% y-o-y, while net income fell 28.8%, from $843m to $600m.
