KKR: invests in rental property in South Korea

(CercleFinance.com) - KKR announces a strategic partnership with Weave Living, a pre-eminent specialist in the Asia-Pacific housing sector, to invest in rental housing in South Korea, with a focus on the capital Seoul.


The strategic partnership will aim to build a portfolio of rental housing assets of around 1,200 units with the initial tranche of capital, and the strategic partners intend to expand this program over time as opportunities arise.

This transaction marks KKR's first investment program in the rental housing sector in South Korea.

KKR will hold a majority stake in the strategic partnership, while Weave will hold the remaining minority stake in addition to providing a range of management services to the business as development director and operating partner.
