Hertz: higher net loss in Q2.

(CercleFinance.com) - Hertz is not doing any better than Avis Budget, which yesterday announced a profit warning.


Indeed, the car rental company reported a Q2 net loss of 158 million dollars, or 1.9 dollar per share, compared to 43 million dollar (51 cents a share) loss a year earlier.

Excluding exceptional items, the loss is reduced to 63 cents per share. However, this is 3 times higher than what was expected by analysts.

Meanwhile, business slowed, with revenues down 2% relative to April-June 2016, at 2.2 billion dollars, in line with the consensus.
