Dupont: Q1 beats consensus

(CercleFinance.com) - DuPont has posted Q1 2020 adjusted EPS that is down 9% at 84 cents, albeit nine cents above the consensus, while its operating EBITDA fell by 8% to 1.
3 billion dollars.

The chemist's revenues fell by 4% to 5.2 billion dollars, with a 2% drop in organic terms. Growth in electronics-imaging and nutrition-biosciences was more than offset by declines in other segments.

For the record, DuPont has suspended its targets for adjusted EPS and revenues for 2020 two weeks ago, given the global weakening of end markets, as well as uncertainties about the duration and intensity of the Covid-19 pandemic.
