Dollar General: Q4 EPS down 38%

2% drop in Q4 EPS to $1.83, on sales that are down 3.4% to $9.9bn, although up 0.7% on a same-store basis.

Given the growth in traffic and market share gains during the quarter, we believe our actions are resonating with customers, the distribution group said.

With EPS of $7.55 and revenues up 2.2% for the full year, Dollar General's target ranges are $6.80 to $7.55 and 6% to 6.7% respectively for the year ahead.
