Boeing: $440m contract with US Space Force
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing announced today that it has been awarded a $439.
6m contract to build the 12th Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) communications satellite for the US Space Force's Space Systems Command. The WGS constellation provides vital, high-capacity, secure and resilient communications capabilities for the US military and its allies. WGS' responsive, steerable and high-capacity beams offer assured connectivity and enhanced anti-jam communications, Boeing says. The 12th WGS satellite will provide critical capabilities to our military with more than 1,500 individually steerable and shapeable Ka-band beams, ensuring resilient communications for tactical forces, Space Mission Systems said.
