AutoZone: EPS up 19% in Q1

(CercleFinance.com) - AutoZone has reported Q1 2023-24 EPS that is up 18.
6% at $32.55, while operating profit rose by 17.4% to $849m, and its gross margin increased 2.8 points to 52.8%.

At $4.2bn, the automotive parts and accessories distributor's sales were up 5.1%, including 2.1% LFL growth, mainly driven by international business (+10.9%).

Company management says that it remains committed to driving sales and earnings growth throughout FY 2023-24, while redistributing cash to shareholders.
