EDP: completes tender offer on EDP Brasil

(CercleFinance.com) - EDP announces that it will increase its stake in EDP-Energias do Brasil from 32% to 88%, following the successful conclusion of the public tender offer held on 12 July.


Steps will be taken to delist EDP Brasil from the Brazilian stock exchange.

This operation will enable it to simplify its corporate structure, create and capture more value through a more integrated Group presence in the Brazilian market,EDP Group says.

In Brazil, the Portuguese energy group plans to invest E3.5bn by 2026, strengthening its networks, developing its renewable energy portfolio and providing its customers with competitive and innovative solutions.
