PostNL: stock punished for pessimistic forecasts

(CercleFinance.com) - PostNL shares are down 11% in Amsterdam today, after the group announced that it expected KPIs to be at the low end of its target ranges for FY 2023, based on its Q3 performance.


Last August, the Dutch postal operator said that it is targeting normalised EBIT of E100m to E130m, as well as FCF of E10m to E40m in 2023, compared with E84m and E40 million respectively in 2022.

It saw its Q3 normalised EBIT loss slump 46% to E11m, on revenues that inched up 2% to E722m, with volumes increasing 1.6% for parcels, although falling by 8.7% for mail in the Netherlands.
