Alitalia: Lufthansa eying up company.

(CercleFinance.com) - Lufthansa seems to be hungry all the time.
Indeed, as well as last week's formalised takeover of part of its compatriot Air Berlin's fleet, the German carrier admitted via a press release its interest in Alitalia, confirming an article published in Corriere della Sera.

It does not intend to make an overall offer, specifically targeting European and domestic flights.

Lufthansa would therefore participate in Alitalia's rebuilding, with the group having been in difficulty for many years, and the Italian government currently keeping it afloat.
