Linde: Berenberg initiates coverage with 'buy' rating

(CercleFinance.com) - Berenberg on Tuesday initiated its coverage of the Linde share with a "buy" rating, while recommending investors remain cautious towards the chemicals sector.


"Increasing demand for industrial hydrogen provides an investment opportunity, in our view," Berenberg analysts said in a research note.

"However, prudent capital allocation will be crucial to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past," they added.

Berenberg analysts said that they prefer Linde, given the company's "flexible" and "disciplined" approach.

The broker has set a target price of 210 euros for the stock, which is currently down 0.3% at 185.7 euros in Tuesday morning trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
