Rolls-Royce: $1 million contract with NASA in Cleveland

(CercleFinance.com) - Rolls-Royce announced yesterday that it has won a $1 million contract to develop an advanced converter for NASA's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.


During the 12-month contract period, Rolls-Royce LibertyWorks will provide a preliminary design for a closed-cycle Brayton power conversion system for next-generation space nuclear micro-reactors.

"Being selected for the NASA power conversion development contract is a testament to Rolls-Royce LibertyWorks' leadership in pioneering advances for the future of microjet power conversion in the United States," commented John Shade, Rolls-Royce Executive Vice President of Business Development and Future Programs.
