HSBC: sale of retail banking in France completed
(CercleFinance.com) - HSBC Continental Europe (HBCE), a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings, announces that on January 1, 2024, it has completed the sale of its retail banking activities in France to CCF, a subsidiary of Promontoria MMB SAS (My Money Group).
As the transaction also involved the sale by HBCE of its 100% stake in HSBC SFH (France), the latter is now wholly owned by CCF and has changed its name to CCF SFH with effect from January 1. The completion of this transaction, which follows the announcements of June 18, 2021 and June 14, 'marks a key step in HBCE's transformation and will enable the bank to focus on its international banking model', according to the British group.
