BAT: new £30m state-of-the-art R&D center

(CercleFinance.com) - BAT announces the opening of a new state-of-the-art innovation center at its global research and development (R&D) headquarters in Southampton, which will play a key role in the company's ongoing transformation via the 'A Better Tomorrow' program.


The £30m facility strengthens and deepens BAT's R&D capabilities, providing nine purpose-built technical spaces to facilitate the development of BAT's reduced-risk product portfolio.

These spaces are dedicated to research into modern oral nicotine sachets, liquids and flavors for vaping products, heated products, as well as wellness and stimulation beyond nicotine.

BAT adds that the investment will also support work on packaging, engineering, innovation development and systems integration.
