Spie: support contract for pilot wind farm

(CercleFinance.com) - Spie Industrie has announced that it has signed a contract with Valemo and Services Voltige to provide offshore maintenance support for Provence Grand Large (PGL), France's first pilot farm of floating offshore wind turbines.


The three partner companies will provide services during the preparatory installation and operational phases of the project. Supported by EDF Renouvelables and its partners, the pilot farm will be commissioned in September 2024.

Provence Grand Large is located 17 km off the coast of the Gulf of Fos, and comprises three wind turbines with an individual output of 8.4 megawatts. It will produce the equivalent of the annual consumption of 45,000 people.
