Suez: contract with Syndicat Mixte de l'Aire Toulonnaise

(CercleFinance.com) - Suez today announced that the SITTOMAT (Syndicat mixte de Transport et de Traitement des Ordures Ménagères de l'Aire Toulonnaise) has awarded it a contract to build and operate a new sorting center for selective waste collection.


Nearly 35,000 tonnes of recyclable waste will be processed each year in this new sorting center, located in La Farlède, to meet the needs of SITTOMAT and its 566,000 inhabitants.

The contract, worth almost E65m, will begin with 2 years of studies and works, followed by a 7-year operating period.

The people of the Var will now be able to sort more and better. We are proud to support the SITTOMAT, enabling it to lead the ecological transition of the Var region by involving its users, Suez said.
