Alstom: completes works on Belgian rail network

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has completed an important part of the modernisation plan for the Belgian rail network, having installed 31 cabins with digital signaling systems.


Alstom managed the interlocking part (a set of signaling devices) of the signal boxes used for traffic management. This equipment mainly provides control of switch motors, traffic lights and information to level crossings.

These new computerised workstations enhance network security and the regularity of rail traffic: two of Infrabel's main priorities, it said.
