Alstom: opens a new maintenance center in Romania

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announced yesterday that it has completed the construction of
'Alstom Grivita Depot' in Bucharest (Romania), a new facility dedicated to the maintenance and testing of electric trains and locomotives.


The site is also home to the first of 37 Coradia Stream EMU interregional trains, which will undergo the mandatory tests prior to certification.

Alstom has launched an active recruitment campaign for this new maintenance center: some 50 employees are expected to join the project and undergo specialized training.

' This new depot underlines Alstom's enduring commitment to the Romanian market and marks an important milestone as we celebrate our 30th anniversary in the country this year', commented Gabriel Stanciu, Alstom's Managing Director for Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova.
