Alstom: merger with Siemens Mobility on track

(CercleFinance.com) - In addition to announcing its results, Alstom has confirmed that it intends to complete its merger with Siemens Mobility by the end of 2018.


Alstom's shareholders will vote on the matter at its AGM scheduled for 17 July. Finally, yesterday, both groups unveiled the names of the 11 board members of the future Siemens Alstom.

Regulatory approvals, particularly that of Bercy, are still pending, and the AMF will also have to confirm that Siemens will not have to bid on the remainder of the future Siemens Alstom, once Siemens has contributed its rail division.

Note that ultimately, Siemens Alstom will be based in Saint-Ouen and will remain listed on the Paris Stock Exchange and that Siemens will hold half of its capital.
