E.ON: two bond issues totaling E1.8bn

ON yesterday successfully issued two bond tranches for a combined total of E1.8bn.

The first tranche consists of E800m of green bonds, maturing in March 2032, has a coupon of 3.5%.

The second tranche consists of E1bn of green bonds, maturing in March 2044, has a coupon of 4.125%.

The transaction attracted strong investor demand, with a combined order book of around E7bn.

The proceeds of the short-term bond will be used for general corporate purposes, while the proceeds of the green bond will finance and/or refinance eligible green projects as defined in E.ON's green bond framework.
