Deutsche Börse: EU approves acquisition of Simcorp

(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU merger regulations, the European Commission has approved the acquisition of sole control of SimCorp A/S of Denmark by Deutsche Börse AG of Germany.


SimCorp provides software solutions for investment and data management, customer communication and related services for asset managers and service providers, banks, insurance funds, pension funds and wealth managers.

The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not give rise to any competition concerns given the very limited horizontal overlaps and vertical and/or conglomerate links between the companies' activities in the European Economic Area.
