HPE: agreement confirmed to acquire Juniper

(CercleFinance.com) - Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) confirmed on Tuesday evening that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Juniper Networks, the global leader in AI-powered cloud, connected security and networking solutions.


The IT hardware and solutions group will complete the all-cash transaction at a price of $40 per Juniper share, representing an equity value of approximately $14bn.

This combination enables HPE to move into higher-growth solutions and strengthen its high-margin networking business, HPE says, which expects it to be accretive to adjusted EPS and FCF in the first year following completion.

The transaction is expected to close in late 2024 or early 2025, subject to regulatory and Juniper shareholder approvals, as well as satisfaction of other customary conditions.
