Equinor: sharp fall in Q1 profits
(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor has reported Q1 2024 net income of $2,672m, down 46% y-o-y.
Adjusted net income came in at $2,836m, down 27% y-o-y.
Adjusted EPS came to E0.96, down 22%.
Equinor's total sales reached $25.1bn, down 14% from $29.2bn a year ago.
Equinor management believes that the company has generated solid financial results, thanks to a strong operational performance across the business.
It adds that it is maintaining a value-driven approach to renewable energy growth. During the quarter, we secured significantly better terms for our Empire Wind 1 project in the United States and started production commercialization of the Mendubim solar power plants in Brazil.
