Tesco: H1 adjusted EPS up 16.8%

(CercleFinance.com) - British food retailer Tesco reports that group sales reached £30.
75bn in H1 2023/24, up 8.4% y-o-y.

Tesco reported adjusted EPS of 12.26 pence, up 16.8% y-o-y.

According to management, the group's constant focus on customers, combined with significant cost reductions - thanks to the Save to Invest program - have enabled its strong performance in H1.

Tesco therefore estimates that over the full year, adjusted operating profit will be between £2.6bn and £2.7bn for its Retail business and between £130m and £160m for Tesco Bank.
