Eutelsat: successfully launches Eutelsat 36D satellite
(CercleFinance.com) - Eutelsat Group announces the successful launch and deployment into geostationary transfer orbit (GEO) of the Eutelsat 36D satellite this weekend, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from launch pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Backed by Airbus' Eurostar Neo platform, this satellite will succeed Eutelsat 36B at 36° East, where it will continue its missions alongside Eutelsat 36C. Entry into service is scheduled for H2 2024.
Equipped with 70 Ku-band transponders, Eutelsat 36D will ensure the continuity of broadcasting services while offering optimized performance over its coverage areas, the satellite operator says.
