Accor: EU approves acquisition of a hotel portfolio
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of the joint control of a portfolio of 73 hotels in Hungaria, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic by AccorInvest S.
A., which is based in Luxembourg, and the Accor Group, based in France.
The portfolio of 73 hotels is currently owned by the Polish investment company Orbis, an Accor subsidiary and includes luxury, high-end and economy class hotels.
Indeed, the Commission found that the planned acquisition would not cause any competitive issues given the very limited impact on the market's structure. It therefore gave its go-ahead for the deal.
