Mercedes-Benz: for safer automated driving

(CercleFinance.com) - Drive Pilot is the first internationally certified Level 3 system.


Developed by Mercedes-Benz, Drive Pilot is based on a system architecture that enables the safe control of all possible situations.

To this end, braking, steering, power supply and parts of the sensor system are designed with physical and functional redundancy. By adopting this safety-oriented approach to system design, Mercedes-Benz is setting entirely new standards in automated driving.

Drive Pilot has been available as an option for the S-Class and EQS in Germany from 17 May 2022.

In all, over 30 sensors enable Drive Pilot to reliably control driving.
