Mercedes: EU clears Van Mossel Automotive deal
(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU Merger Regulations the European Commission has cleared the acquisition of sole control of Mercedes-Benz CPH (Denmark) by Van Mossel Automotive International (Netherlands).
The transaction mainly concerns the sale of passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and spare parts, as well as the provision of vehicle repair services. The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not give rise to competition concerns, given the companies' limited market positions resulting from the proposed transaction.
