RWE: EU approves creation of a joint venture

(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU Merger Regulations the European Commission has cleared the creation of a joint venture by Mitsui, Osaka Gas and RWE K.
K, all of which are established in Japan.

The transaction concerns the construction and operation of an offshore wind farm in Japan.

The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on the European Economic Area. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
