Solvay: inaugurates new production unit in Italy

This marks another milestone with the launch of a major European production unit for Alve-One?, a chemical blowing agent to transform the thermoplastic foam industry.

This new unit helps meet the growing demand for safer, longer-lasting blowing agents in a variety of consumer and industrial uses worldwide.

These include the automotive, footwear, building and construction, and consumer goods sectors, aiming to reduce the carbon footprint of foamed end products while improving overall health and safety standards to protect both people and the environment, the group says.
