Lockheed Martin: Greece to buy 35 'Black Hawk' helicopters

(CercleFinance.com) - Lockheed Martin reports that on Friday the Greek government signed a Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) formalizing its intention to acquire 35 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters built by Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, through the US government's Foreign Military Sales system.


Approved and operated by over 35 countries, including a growing number of NATO allies, the Black Hawk multi-role helicopter offers unmatched global interoperability, significantly increasing Greece's deterrence capability and that of all NATO member countries, Sikorsky said.

In addition to the aircraft, the purchase also includes personnel training and training equipment to ensure the smooth integration of the helicopters into the Greek army.
