Meta: agreement with EDPR in Texas

(CercleFinance.com) - EDP Renewables, through its subsidiary EDP Renewables North America, and Meta (formerly Facebook) announce that they have entered into a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for 156MW of the 240MW Cattlemen Solar Park in Central Texas.


EDPR NA will also build and operate the facility as the sole owner. The capital investment is estimated at 280 million dollars and is expected to be commissioned in 2023.

This is the second PPA between EDP Renewables and Meta, along with the Headwaters II wind farm in Indiana. Both groups are also partners in the Randolph solar farm, whose capacity will be dedicated to the Meta data centre in Mesa, Arizona.
