Criteo: in exclusive talks to acquire Iponweb

(CercleFinance.com) - Criteo announced on Thursday that it has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire Iponweb, a specialist in real-time media buying, for 380 million dollars.


The online advertising group said that the deal would enable it to accelerate its strategic plan to deliver the best audiences to advertisers and media groups.

Iponweb specialises in media trading, a discipline that consists of optimising the purchase of advertising space on behalf of a portfolio of clients.

These spaces are bought in real time (RTB) on marketplaces, which allows for a continuous adjustment of the strategy according to the objectives defined by the advertiser (clicks, visits, etc.).

Criteo explains that it intends to pay for the acquisition with 305 million dollars in cash and 75 million dollars in treasury stock.
