American Express: dividend raised with quarterly results

(CercleFinance.com) - On its quarterly earnings call, American Express says it plans to increase its quarterly dividend by 17% to $0.
70 per share, starting with the dividend to be paid for Q1 2024.

Q4 2023 EPS rose 27% to $2.62, on revenues net of interest expense that are up 11% at $15.8bn, and despite provisions for credit losses that increased 40% to $1.44bn.

Posting FY 2023 EPS of $11.21 and revenue growth of 14%, the credit card group says that it is has target ranges of $12.65 to $13.15 and 9% to 11% respectively for 2024.
