Telia: sells Moldovan unit, completes exit from Eurasia

(CercleFinance.com) - Telia said on Friday that it has agreed to sell its 100% stake in Moldcell, Moldova's second largest telecom operator, to Nepalese conglomerate CG Corp Global for 31.
5 million dollars.

This means that the Swedish telecom group has now completed its exit from Eurasia, enabling it to fully focus on the Nordic and Baltic markets.

Moldcell - which represents approximately 0.7% of Telia's revenues only - has approximately 900,000 customers.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2020.
