Ericsson: Q1 EPS leaps 71%

77 SEK for Q1 2024, with an EBITA margin excluding restructuring charges that rose 1.9 point to 9.6%, while revenues fell 15% to 53.3bn SEK.

The telecom equipment supplier's sales fell 14% in organic terms, driven by a 19% drop in network sales, with the Swedish group explaining that its customers remain cautious in their investments.

If current trends continue, Ericsson expects sales to stabilise in H2, benefiting from recent contract wins and the normalisation of customer inventory levels in North America.
