Ahold Delhaize: buys US supermarket group King Kullen

(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch-Belgian retailer Ahold Delhaize said that Stop & Shop, its largest brand in the US, has agreed to acquire King Kullen, a supermarket group based in Long Island, New York.


The deal includes 32 supermarkets, five "Wild by Nature" natural food stores and the use of its corporate offices located in Bethpage, New York, the company said in a statement.

The acquisition is currently expected to close during the first quarter of 2019, Ahold added. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
