Aegon: names new CEO for asset management unit
(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch insurer Aegon said on Tuesday that it has appointed Bas NieuweWeme as the new chief executive for its asset management business.
NieuweWeme joins Aegon from PGIM, the asset management business of US insurer Prudential.
Aegon said the appointment will be effective as of 24 June.
NieuweWeme replaces Sarah Russell, an Australian executive who is leaving the group.
Aegon Asset Management's assets under management currently reach about 320 billion euros.
