RTL: stock up 7%; Q2 beats estimates

(CercleFinance.com) - The share of the audiovisual group RTL is jumping 7% this morning on the Brussels Stock Exchange, following the publication of quarterly accounts that exceed expectations.


The subsidiary of the German company Bertelsmann, and parent company of M6, also confirmed its annual forecasts.
H1 revenues reached a record of over 3 billion euros, mainly thanks to digital. With reported growth of 2.3%, organic growth reached 3.7%, its highest level since 2010.

H1 EBITDA came in at 638 million euros (+1.9%), which represents an EBITDA margin that slipped 10 basis points to 20.9%, while net income remained virtually unchanged at 318 million euros. However, in Q2 these aggregates respectively rose by 4.7% and 13.1%.

The group will pay a 2018 interim dividend of one euro in September.
