Eni: pens deals with Sonatrach

(CercleFinance.com) - Eni has announced today it has signed two agreements with Algeria's Sonatrach, relating to future joint energy supply projects, energy transition and decarbonisation.


Through these agreements, Eni and Sonatrach will identify opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas and methane emissions and define energy efficiency initiatives, renewable energy developments, green hydrogen projects and capture and storage of carbon dioxide, to support energy security and at the same time a sustainable energy transition.

In addition, the companies will conduct studies to identify possible measures to improve Algeria's energy export capacity to Europe.
