Intesa Sanpaolo: EU clears joint acquisition of Mooney

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has cleared the acquisition of Mooney and the "Le Compendio" group - namely PayTipper, CityPoste Payment, Enex X Financial Services and Junia Insurance - by Enel and Intesa Sanpaolo.


Mooney provides payment services via points of sale and its own digital platforms in Italy.

Compendio provides tax and utility payment services.

Enel is an energy group that operates in the production, trading, distribution and supply of electricity and natural gas. Intesa is a banking group active in retail banking, corporate banking and wealth management.
