Generali: dividend increase on record results

(CercleFinance.com) - On the publication of its annual results, Generali announces a 10.
3% increase in its proposed dividend, to E1.28 per share, thus meeting its cumulative dividend target for the period 2022-24.

The Italian insurance company announces record adjusted net income for 2023, up 14.1% to E3.57bn, with operating income also at an all-time high, up 7.9% to E6.88bn.

Gross written premiums rose by 5.6% to E82.5bn, driven by a 12% increase in property & casualty (P&C) business, with its combined ratio improving 1.4 point to 94%, while the new business margin reached 5.78%.

The strong performance in 2023, with a positive contribution from all segments, demonstrates the successful execution of our strategy, management said, also seeing Generali benefiting, in the future, from the acquisitions of Conning and Liberty Seguros.
