Linde: new green hydrogen plant in Brazil

(CercleFinance.com) - Linde announced on Thursday that its subsidiary White Martins plans to build and develop a second green hydrogen production unit in south-west Brazil.


This alkaline electrolyzer system - with a capacity of five megawatts - will be installed close to the air separation site that Linde currently operates near Sao Paulo.

Powered by renewable energies such as solar and wind power, the unit will produce green hydrogen, which will then be used by glass manufacturer Cebrace to reduce its carbon emissions.

The new unit is set to be commissioned in 2025.

Linde says that in 2022, White Martins became the first South American company to produce certified green hydrogen on an industrial scale.
