Intercontinental: $494m profit in FY 2021

(CercleFinance.com) - The company has announced a 21% increase in revenues to 2,907 million dollars for FY 2021.


There was a significant improvement in business over the year, with RevPAR recovering to 70% of 2019 levels (83% in Q4 2021).

Meanwhile, occupancy was 56% in Q4 (53% for FY), with the US at 61% (61% for the year).

Reported segment operating profit is 534 million dollars, up +144% relative to 2020 (but down 38% relative to 2019). The group reported operating profit of 494 million dollars after exceptional operating items.

The share is up 2.5% in London, as an end to the Covid tunnel now seems to be in sight.
