LSE: share hit after annual results

(CercleFinance.com) - The share of London Stock Exchange is down over 7% on Friday morning after the UK stockmarket operator announced annual results that are in line with expectations.


The group reported revenues of 2.1 billion pounds for the past year, slightly above the consensus.

Meanwhile, adjusted operating profit increased by 5% to 1.1 billion pounds, again in line with analysts' expectations.

At around 10:15 am (UK time), the stock was down 7.4%, the sharpest faller in the FTSE 100 index.
