BT: partners with Broadpeak in video streaming

(CercleFinance.com) - BT Group has announced a partnership with Broadpeak, a leading provider of content delivery networks (CDNs) and video streaming solutions for content providers and pay-TV operators worldwide, around a new live video streaming solution.


The MAUD (Multicast-Assisted Unicast Delivery) solution will enable 'more reliable, efficient and sustainable live video streaming'.

According to BT, a number of major broadcasters and content companies are expected to test this revolutionary solution in 2024.

' As more and more live events move online - or online only - we're seeing a surge in traffic. MAUD is a revolutionary development in the way live video is delivered over the Internet', said Howard Watson, Director of Security and Networks at BT Group.
