AstraZeneca: collaborates with Massachusetts General
(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca announced on Tuesday that it has signed a digital health collaboration agreement with Massachusetts General Hospital, a Boston hospital that is considered to be one of the best in the world.
Under the agreement, MGH - which is also Harvard's largest teaching hospital - will use "Amaze", the disease management platform developed by AstraZeneca in two empirical clinical trials conducted in heart failure and asthma.
The digital platform - with both a patient app and a physician dashboard - is intended to improve the practice of evidence-based medicine, both partners say.
If both trials are successful, AstraZeneca and Massachusetts General Hospital plan to expand their collaboration to other types of chronic diseases.
